Volunteering is not automatic. It thrives on trust, respect, and solidarity. At the Conservatoire National de Véhicules Historiques, we do a lot of work on a voluntary basis—and we can only do that because we are not alone. The Ministry of Culture, the city of Diekirch, and our loyal members give us their support. They see our commitment, they respect it, and they believe in what we do.

This support cannot be taken for granted. It is a sign of appreciation—and it is the reason why we continue. Because volunteering only works when people support each other. When solidarity is stronger than ego, and loyalty is more important than convenience.

That is why we would like to say thank you today, on International Volunteer Day.

Thank you to everyone who places their trust in us.

Thank you to everyone who not only watches, but also helps shape the future.

Without you, this museum would not exist in its current form. Together, we preserve history—and continue to write a piece of it.
